Ebonized pearwood veneer is simply the best solution for black veneer. This veneer does not tear out when planed, scraped, or sanded like other dyed veneers making it ideal for purfling, backstrip,and rosette applications. When the surface of black veneer tears in the rosette, or any other application it leaves tiny voids where dust often settles causing light colored spots to appear which can be very unattractive. Ebonized pearwood also gives a deeper, richer black color to your details than other dyed veneer. and ~.019″ (.5mm) thick.
Alaskan yellow cedar veneer has a natural yellow color. This veneer planes easily and maintains its yellow color as it ages. Sheets are .6mm thick.
Mahogany veneer has a natural honey brown color and is an excellent choice for use with the Alaskan yellow cedar on your guitar’s details. Sheets are .5mm thick.
All veneer sheets are 32″ (813mm)long, 8″ (203mm) wide. One sheet of each should be enough for the entire guitar if properly cut. This veneer is of the highest quality. Price is per sheet.
