The classical guitar rosette kit contains all the material necessary for producing an elegant rosette like the signature J.S. Bogdanovich rosette. The rosette kit color schemes have been designed to work well with either a spruce or cedar top guitar. The black and yellow motif is the same as the scheme in the book and the brown and yellow motif  is suited for a rosette similar to the one in the dvd.

There is enough material provided for creating a wheat stack .3mm Alaskan yellow cedar for 12 degree wheat as shown in the book (drawing below on left), or .6mm Alaskan yellow cedar for 30 degree wheat/herringbone as shown in the dvd (drawing below on right). For either motif there should produce enough wheat and/or herringbone for a few guitars.

The center ring veneer is maple burl glued to a mahogany backing which makes it stiffer, more stable and increases its thickness to about .055”. There is also enough Alaskan yellow cedar, mahogany, and ebonized pear wood veneer for the stripping in between to create the entire rosette. Rosettes similar to those shown above can easily be created with this kit. You are also invited to come up with your own variation on this design.
