The solera kit can be used with either the guitar in the book, or the dvd. The MDF solera substrate has been capped with 1/4″ birch solid core plywood on both top and bottom surfaces for stability. Soft carving wood for the lower and upper bout are provided along with assembled rims and hardware necessary to attach removable rims. Currently available in 650mm scale length only.
In order to build a traditional Spanish classical guitar you’ll need a good solera. This solera can be used to create both the guitar in the book and the guitar in the dvd.
The J.S. Bogdanovich Guitars solera kit comes partially constructed. Kit includes rims, wood for upper and lower bout patches, hardware and the solera base covered on both faces with high quality cabinet grade 1/4″ birch solid core plywood. Bogdanovich”.
The 3/4″MDF substrate has been covered on both top and bottom surfaces with a 1/4″ birch solid core plywood for stability. Wood patches for shaping the lower and upper bouts are provided for carving. The rims have been pre-assembled and the bolt holes on the rims have been pre-drilled for easy alignment.
