This full size set of classical guitar plans and acetates are for the guitar constructed in the DVD. These plans are included on the DVD as PDFs. This guitar design is the current Bogdanovich guitar. This design is also based on the ’37 Hauser plantilla therefore all the templates will also work for this guitar. For those who have not purchased the DVD but would like to try their hand at a more challenging design, these plans are now available. The plans are printed in gray scale and only available in 650mm scale length.

This set of guitar plans and acetates are for the classical guitar demonstrated in the 10-DVD box set “Making a Concert Classical Guitar”. These plans are included on disc 10 of the DVD box set as PDFs. This set consists of two sheets of plans(48″ x 24″) and two acetates (24″x 18″). These are plans for the current Bogdanovich classical guitar design. The plantilla used in these guitar plans is that of the ’37 Hauser, therefore all the templates and molds will also work for this guitar as well as guitar in the book.
New Features and Additions to the Guitar Plans
A new bracing pattern features an open lower transverse brace on the soundboard designed to incorporate more of the top directly in sound production. Enhancements have also been made to improve the treble response. For improved playability and ease of set up a more elegant approach is taken with regard to the fingerboard. The edges of the sides are tapered in the upper bout to accept the fingerboard without the need to relieve its underside. In the evolution of this guitar design, small incremental changes were made for better sound and more consistent playability over a number of years.
For those who have not purchased the DVD but would like to try their hand at this design, these guitar plans are now available in the products section of the web site. The plans are printed in gray scale and only available in 650mm scale length.

I am a big fan of using plans and templates for builds going back to my cabinet shop days. Johns plans are some of the most precise and well designed.I really like the acetate for laying out the braces. I decided to get these after seeing him laying them out on the dvd, well done John.
