This full size set of classical guitar plans and acetates are necessary to construct the guitar in the book by John S. Bogdanovich, “Classical Guitar Making: A Modern Approach to a Traditional Design”. The set of guitar blueprints comes with acetates for laying out the guitar’s soundboard and back as demonstrated in book and DVD. These plans are available in 650 and 640mm scale length.
These classical guitar strings are a mixed set that I use on all my classical guitars. This combination allows for easier and more accurate intonation as well as providing a smoother transition from the wire wound strings to the nylon. The E,A,D,B and 1st string E are all D’Addario Ej45’s and the G string is a Savarez Alliance normal tension G string.
The classical guitar template set consists of the plantilla, headpiece, fingerboard, and bridge patch templates. These templates are made of high quality clear acrylic allowing you to see the grain orientation when trying to get the desired graphics in the wood. Made with CNC accuracy for maximum precision and symmetry these templates are time savers allowing you to make a guitar with confidence.
The solera rims come pre-assembled and pre-drilled. Each rim is composed of three pieces of 3/4″ MDF which have been cut on a CNC machine for ultimate accuracy. The rims have been cut to allow for a 4″ wide opening at the neck on the solera. Currently available in 650mm scale length only.
