Guitar Making Book Errata
After having written a book I can easily understand how errors can slip through the cracks and end up in the final copy, especially with a book of this type with so much detail. Great effort was made in editing to avoid any problems but some errors were able to slip through none the less. Hopefully all the errors in the first print have been flagged by either myself, or readers. They have been recorded, corrected and sent to the publisher for inclusion in the second printing of "Classical Guitar Making: A Modern Approach to a Traditional Design". There were also a couple of areas where text was added for clarification. All the errors, corrections, and additions have been put in a PDF file available for download. Download the errata for Classical Guitar Making here. If you have found additional errors please do not hesitate to send along an email describing the error, and exactly where it was found and we'll add it to the pdf.
Fret Placement Errors
The fret placement numbers in the first printing of the book and the first few batches of plans were in error. It seems that numbers for a different scale length were somehow slipped past everyone including me. Hopefully everyone took my suggestion and purchased a pre-slotted 650 scale length fingerboard for their project. This was corrected long ago and I think we were able to catch it in time to prevent any real problems with anyone's project. The corrected fret placement numbers are contained in the PDF file which can be downloaded using the link below. The overall drawing is correct, just the numbers for the fret placement are incorrect. This error, along with its correction, has been sent to the publisher and will be corrected in the second printing. This error has also been corrected in the plans available on my site long ago, and has also been corrected on all plans available from luthier supply companies. I apologize for this error and any inconvenience this may have caused anyone.

Thanks for all Your Help
I would just like to thank everyone that sent along a note, or an email, with error correction information. Although I have gone through the book many times searching for errors, the list of known errors would not be as complete as it is if it were not for the efforts of all the readers that passed along this information.
